In the third quarter of 2023, Tesla, Inc. reported revenue of $23.4 billion, up 9% year-over-year, driven by record vehicle deliveries despite supply chain challenges. Net income was $1.85 billion, impacted by price cuts that reduced the operating margin to 7.6%, down from 15% the prior year. Tesla produced 430,488 vehicles and delivered 435,059, with the Model Y and Model 3 accounting for 95% of volumes. The Cybertruck began initial deliveries, and Full Self-Driving (FSD) software advancements, with 500,000+ vehicles using FSD Beta, are expected to drive future revenue, though regulatory hurdles remain. Energy storage deployments (Megapack) grew 40% YoY to 4 GWh, adding a high-margin revenue stream.
