In the first fiscal quarter of 2024, Microsoft Corporation delivered a stellar performance, reporting revenue of $56.5 billion, a 13% increase year-over-year, driven by its cloud and enterprise segments. Net income rose to $22.3 billion, reflecting a robust 27% growth, fueled by operational efficiencies and high-margin cloud services. The Microsoft Cloud division, including Azure, Dynamics 365, and other cloud offerings, generated $31.8 billion in revenue, up 24% year-over-year, accounting for over 50% of total revenue. Azure’s growth was propelled by demand for AI and machine learning workloads, with the company estimating that 30% of its cloud revenue now ties to AI-driven services, positioning Microsoft as a leader in the enterprise AI market.
